Christopher started his career in retained executive search with Spencer Stuart in 1998 where he headed the European Venture Capital Practice and led the Technology Media and Telecommunications team in the UK.
In addition to his search assignments, on behalf of Cisco, HP, IBM and others he has conducted over 200 confidential interviews with CIOs, VPs, SVPs and CEOs of Fortune 500 Banks, Government Departments, Airlines, Airports, Oil & Gas multinationals, utilities, etc in 23 countries.
His earlier career spans 14 years in the European IT industry: he ran his own network of IT service and internet consultancy companies in Italy and France after a career in European service management and business development at Digital Equipment Corporation in Milan and Geneva, where he co-authored the award-winning “Marketing For Results” methodology.
Despite his background in marketing Christopher is a generalist, and has recruited in every business function, from HR, Finance, Legal and Compliance, through Manufacturing, Project Management, Operations, Customer Services and Support Services to Marketing, PR, Loyalty, Sales, Strategy and of course Managing Director, SVP Europe and CEO roles.
He has a Masters Degree in Engineering (and a boxing blue) from the University of Cambridge and speaks French and Italian.
